FAQ - Frequently asked questions about window tinting

How long does my vehicle have to stay with you for window tinting?

Do I have a guarantee on the window tinting?

We offer a three-year to lifetime guarantee on lightfastness and fading of the films.

Can the sun protection film be removed again?

Yes, the window tint can be removed without leaving any residue. You can also have it done by us.

Can the rear side windows be opened after tinting?

We recommend not using the rear side windows for a few days after the films have been installed so that the films have dried properly.

Are the sun protection films installed in one piece or in several parts, e.g., assembled on the heating wire?

We install the sun protection films in one piece. This also applies to the Tesla Model 3.

Can I use the rear window heating despite having tinted windows?

Yes, as soon as the sun protection film is dry. Depending on whether it's summer or winter, you may have to wait a few days or up to two weeks.

Do I need to remove any of the trim before tinting my car windows?

We do not dismantle vehicle parts.

Is there anything else that needs to be prepared on the vehicle?

Please bring your vehicle to us with the exterior washed. If you have pet hair inside, please remove it as best as possible.

Is it possible to tint car windows without blistering?

We install our sun protection films with the utmost care and after thoroughly cleaning the windows several times. However, neither the air nor your vehicle is 100% dust-free, so even with our best care and attention, tiny dust particles cannot be avoided.

How much does window tinting cost?

Are there problems with vehicle windows with black edges?

Some panes have a ceramic coating with a dot pattern applied by the manufacturer to the edges. This coating varies in thickness and surface roughness for technical reasons. Films adhere only partially to this coating, so in individual cases, the dot pattern may be partially or completely visible. This visual characteristic is not grounds for complaint, as it is due to technical reasons and cannot be influenced by the installer.

Screen-printed edges

Rear windows and quarter windows often have a screen print that ends in black dots. Air and water usually collect at this point, resulting in a lighter discoloration. However, you can significantly improve the result with a little rework. If lighter areas are still visible after about ten days of drying, gently press on the affected areas from the inside. Feel free to use your finger or thumb for this. From the outside, you can now see how the light border disappears. Whether the white border disappears completely depends on the vehicle and window manufacturer (height of the screen print). The flatter the border, the better the result. In individual cases, the dot matrix may be unevenly visible. Since this optical characteristic is due to technical reasons and cannot be influenced during the tinting process, this is not grounds for complaint.

Drying process of the films

Drying typically takes 1-4 weeks. In summer, drying is often complete after a few days. However, for safety reasons, movable windows should not be opened for at least 2 weeks. During the drying process, streaks may appear in the film. These will disappear after the drying time. Window filming is possible in both winter and summer. The quality of the film is unaffected by temperatures as high as 30 degrees Celsius or as low as -30 degrees Celsius.
