FAQ - Frequently asked questions about window tinting

How long does my vehicle have to stay with you for window tinting?

Do I have a guarantee on the window tinting?

We offer a three-year to lifetime guarantee on the lightfastness and fading of the films.

Can the sun protection film be removed again?

Yes, the window tint can be removed without leaving any residue. You can also have us do it for you.

Can the rear side windows be opened after tinting?

We recommend that you do not use the rear side windows for a few days after the films have been installed so that the films have dried properly.

Are the sun protection films installed in one piece or assembled in several parts, e.g. on the heating wire?

We install the sun protection films in one piece. This also applies to the Tesla Model 3.

Can I use the rear window heating despite having tinted windows?

Yes, as soon as the sun protection film has dried. Depending on whether it is summer or winter, you may have to wait a few days or up to 2 weeks.

Do I need to remove any of the trim before tinting my car windows?

We do not dismantle vehicle parts.

Does anything else need to be prepared on the vehicle?

Please bring your vehicle to us with the outside washed. If you have any animal hair in the vehicle, please remove it as best as possible.

Is it possible to tint car windows without creating bubbles?

We install the sun protection films with the utmost care and after thoroughly cleaning the windows several times. However, neither the air nor your vehicle is 100% dust-free, so despite caution and care, tiny dust inclusions cannot be avoided.

How much does window tinting cost?

Are there problems with vehicle windows with black edges?

Some panes have a ceramic coating with a dot pattern applied by the manufacturer to the edge. For technical reasons, this coating varies in thickness and surface roughness. Films only adhere to this coating to a limited extent, so that in individual cases the dot pattern may be partially or completely visible. This optical feature is not grounds for complaint, as it is due to technical reasons and cannot be influenced by the installer.

screen-printed edges

Rear windows and triangular windows often have a screen print that ends in black dots. Air and water usually collect at this point, resulting in a lighter discoloration. However, you can improve the result significantly with a little rework. If lighter areas are still visible after around ten days of drying, carefully press on the affected areas from the inside. Use your finger/thumb to do this. From the outside, you can now see how the light edge disappears. Whether the white edge disappears completely depends on the vehicle or window manufacturer (height of the screen print). The flatter the border, the better the result. In individual cases, the dot grid may be unevenly visible. Since this optical feature is due to technical reasons and cannot be influenced during tinting, this is not a reason for complaint.

drying process of the films

Drying usually takes 1 - 4 weeks. In summer, drying is often complete after a few days. However, to be on the safe side, the movable windows should not be opened for at least 2 weeks. During the drying process, streaks can be seen in the film. These disappear after the drying time. You can have the windows filmed in both winter and summer. The quality of the film is not affected, regardless of whether it is 30 degrees or - 30 degrees.
